Why are prayers of lament so needed for this generation?
Young people are navigating grief, disappointment, anger, and questions about life and faith. Do we give them the language and space to bring these experiences honestly before God?
In this episode, we explore the biblical practice of lament, discovering how people like Job, Hannah, and even Jesus brought their deepest pain and questions into prayer. We also look at Psalm 13 to see how lament helps us express our struggles while learning to trust in God’s unfailing love.
For youth leaders, this is an invitation to look beyond the programmes we run and notice the pain young people carry. Helping teenagers grow in faith also means helping them discover that God can handle their honesty, and that their grief, questions, and doubts have a place in his presence.
