the Reason for me book
Try answering some of these questions.
“I’m not sure what I should do when I finish school?” “How do I know God’s will for my life?” “I’m not sure who I really am?” “Why does God allow suffering?”
Well, these where some of the reoccurring questions teens asked me as a School Chaplain and although there are some helpful answers, I kept thinking they would be best served by asking them in the context of a daily relationship with Jesus.
So, I wrote the first edition to help teens develop a daily habit of connecting with God while working through what the bible has to say about some of these things. As the back cover then read, “Understanding the reason for you is not a once off answer but rather a daily journey of discovery.”
That is still true but then Covid-19. Remember that.
Coming out of those of years, I morphed the book into a 40-day online journey and the RFM journey was born. The book was expanded, spiritual practices were added and it became a journey for teens from all over South Africa, meeting once a week for a facilitated reflection on their devotional journey and other experiences from the week.
What’s next?
It’s been 5 years of these journeys and now for the leaders training material so you can walk with a group of young people in your context.
